State of the Art

Ben Purdy and John Brown have worked together on a wide range of physical/digital interactive projects from client work to gallery shows. They’re they’ll be talking about their autonomous Twitter bots, stand-alone physical games that exist in the wild but communicate with web, tools created for real-time performances, and even a Nintendo autonomously controlled via Raspberry Pi, all built with Node or running in a browser. They will discuss the triumphs and failures of their work, and how JavaScript has fit into the ever-expanding list of tools for these unusual undertakings.
